Condoms boost SSL sales, profits in year to March
London -Â Sales and profits both jumped at the UK-based healthcare company, SSL International PLC, as it anonced resutls for the 12 months to 31 March 2007.
The company reported sales up by six percent to £480.2 million (€702 million), from £450.6 million. Pre-tax profit rose by 31 percent, to £46.9 million from $35.7 million the previous year.
The company said sales of its condom division, Durex, were up by 16 percent in the period
Commenting, Garry Watts, Chief Executive said: "The appetite for Durex and Scholl is building across the world. Our products make a difference, are attractive and are well branded. As the range expands and meets yet more needs, consumers are buying more from us."
