Nokian launches new SUV and summer tires

Nokia, Finland – The world's northernmost tire manufacturer, Nokian Tyres, has unveiled a new range of SUV and summer tires.

The products add to Nokian’s existing selection and are tailored for the growing SUV segment – and aimed at the company's main markets in the Nordic countries, Central Europe, and Russia.

The latest introductions to the Hakka summer tire family are the sporty Hakka Black SUV for the largest SUVs – available to consumers in the spring of 2015 – and the “versatile” Nokian Hakka Blue SUV for small and midsize SUVs.

Both of these are supplemented by the Nordman S SUV, a “durable and comfortable” option for older and smaller SUVs.

In addition to the new SUV products, the Finnish company is also supplementing its selection of Hakka summer tires, “tailored for the rough Northern roads”, with the Hakka C2 van tire.

Three new products are being introduced into the Nokian Line product family, which is “especially suited for the varying Central European summer weather”.

The Nokian zLine SUV is fine-tuned for small and midsize SUVs, while “the sturdy and safe” Nokian cLine is for professional drivers and their modern delivery trucks and vans.

The Nokian Rotiiva HT, designed for light trucks, larger SUVs, and pickups will also be launched on the global market during the autumn. It is a “reliable performer on asphalt and gravel”.

The company will be presenting the new products in its summer range to its key interest groups in the coming weeks. More detailed product information will be made available mid-September. The tires will start shipping to retailers in late 2014.
