Kitchener, Canada -Â A demonstration is being held tomorrow to coincide with Michelin's planned auction of tyre machinery from the former B F Goodrich site in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. The United Steelworkers' union (USW) said it will hold a press conference and demonstration at 11:30 am local time, to protest against job losses. 1100 jobs were lost when Michelin closed the Canadian plant in 2006, said the USW.
The auction of equipment wil take place at 131 Goodrich Drive, Kitchener, tomorrow, Wednesday 23 May.
