Cooper names two executives to China ventures
Findlay, Ohio - Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has named two executives to its Chinese operations.
Weiwen Chen is deputy general manager of finance for Cooper Chengshan Tire Co. and director of finance for Cooper China. In the post, Chen will manage business planning and analysis, accounting and reporting, budget preparation and treasury requirements, Cooper said.
Chen most recently served as chief financial offer for Yellow Roadway China International Transportation Operation.
Cooper also named Wei-Ming Tao as general manager of business planning and processes for Cooper Asia, which covers all of the tyre maker's ventures in Asia, including Cooper Chengshan, Cooper Trading Co. and the joint venture with Kenda Rubber Industrial Co. She will be responsible for strategic planning, human resource planning and business processes and systems.
“Her new role reflects Cooper's growing presence in China, and her experience will assist Cooper's aggressive plans in Asia,†the company said in a statement.
Tao most recently served as division controller and manufacturing controller at Eaton Corp.
