US demand for fluoroelastomers to reach $365 million in 2011
Cleveland, Ohio - A new study of the US market for fluoropolymers highlights fluoroelastomers as a fast-growing segment, destined to grow at 5.4 percent annually until 2011.
Unlike other segments, the fluoroelastomer business is likely to show the same growth rates in the coming five years as it did in the previous five. Other segments are expected to accelerate their growth rates, according to the report.
The report says, "Demand for fluoroelastomers will benefit from an improvement in motor vehicle output and a resurgent aerospace market."
The 206-page report, titled Fluoropolymers,, costs $4400 and is published by The Freedonia Group, Inc., a Cleveland, Ohio-based industry research firm. It updates the previous report published in June 2002.
Next month, Freedonia expects to publish its World Fluorochemicals report, offering forecasts out to 2016, at a price of $5500.
