Solutia lifts global prices of Crystex, Santoflex

St Louis, Missouri - Solutia Inc. is raising the price for Crystex insoluble sulphur and Santoflex 6PPD antiozonant. The increase is effective from 1 Oct., 2007, or as soon as permitted by contract, said the company in a press release.

The company blamed the increases on higher raw material costs. "We are implementing this price increase to offset significant, sustained increases in raw material and energy costs in recent years," said Jim Voss, president of Solutia's Flexsys business.
