Maxxis counts as top brand in Taiwan
Taipei, Taiwan -Â Maxxis joins a list of computer and communications companies in an annual survey of top brands in Taiwan. Maxxis, owned by tyre maker Cheng Shin is said to be worth around $309 million, which places it eighth, after Asus, Acer, Trend Micro, D-Link, Zyxel and others.
The value of the Maxxis brand grew by 17 percent over the last 12 months, but this was still not enough to prevent a decline in rank from sixth position to eighth.
The annual league table is compiled by Brand management consultancy Interbrand, with support from BusinessWeek magazine. Interbrand also compiles a top-100 global brand listing, but no rubber or tyre maker apears in that list.
