UK confectionary firm issues recall over silicone rubber
Slough, UK - Mars UK has recalled a large batch of its Maltesers and Revels products, due to the possible presence of small pieces of rubber thought to have originated from a failed rubber seal.
The company is issuing product recall notices in the national press from today (5 Sept. 2007) and point of sale notices will be displayed in all its outlets supplied with the products. These notices will advise customers of the reason for the recall and explain that if they bought the affected products they can be returned for a full refund.
The affected products are:
Milk Chocolate Maltesers in bags, pouches, boxes, PickNMix and pots with Best Before dates between 16.12.07 and 06.01.08 (inclusive)
Revels in bags, pouches and pots with Best Before dates between 16.12.07 and 13.01.08 (inclusive).
