UAW calls off strike at GM as tentative agreement reached
Detroit, Michigan -† The United Autoworkers Union (UAW) said its negotiators reached a tentative agreement with General Motors at 3:05 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
The UAW said, "The strike by union members was recessed at 4 a.m., and workers will report for work beginning with second shift today. Certain skilled trades workers may be notified to report to work earlier by management at their facilities."
Details of the agreement are being withheld pending ratification.
