Bridgestone plans 100 auto-care centres in MEA
ERJ staff report (TP)
Dubai − Bridgestone plans to introduce its auto-care centre First Stop concept in the Middle East and Africa with 100 shops in the next five years, reported Abdul Basit from Khaleej Times.
The retail chain of Bridgestone is popular in Europe where the company has more than 2,000 shops. Recently, the Tokyo-based company opened two shops in Jebel Ali (UAE) − the first place in the region.
Bridgestone is participating in the Dubai International Motor Show for the first time with two different stands, showcasing two different segments. It’s showcasing the latest offer on tire and auto-care excellence available at its First Stop, Bridgestone’s flagship retail brand. First Stop is committed to customer’s safety and to become their ‘tire and auto care partner’ through its promise of convenience, confidence, comfort, and care.
“We are planning at least 10 [shops] in the UAE in the next three years and we hope to achieve 100 shops in the next five years in the region,” Deep Rajendran, manager for corporate communications, told Khaleej Times at the motor show.
First Stop’s participation in the show highlights the importance of tire care and vehicle maintenance, and how it leads to their safety on the roads. Interacting with the touchscreen panels available at the First Stop stand, visitors will get to know which parts of a vehicle are important for safety and should be regularly checked and properly maintained.
