Rubber conference to be held in London in October
ERJ staff report (SS)
A one day conference on the “Time Dependent Behaviour of Rubber†organised by the Rubber in Engineering Committee of the Polymer Society, part of the Institute of Materials, Mining and Minerals will be held in London, on 30 Oct 2008.
The conference will cover topics such as measuring and predicting long term properties such as creep and stress relaxation, characterising the dynamic mechanical properties, high frequency behaviour such as acoustic and ballistic properties and applications such as vibration damping.
Rieg said in a 14 Jan statement that papers are invited on all aspects of the time and frequency dependent properties of elastomeric materials.
For more information on submitting a paper for the conference please contact Martin Burke, mpburke@qinetiq.com by 7 March 2008. Alternatively to sponsor or exhibit at the event please contact Paul Harris, paul.harris@iom3.org.
Rieg will also host an afternoon technical discussion on the topic 'Aging of Elastomers' on 14 March 2008. For further information on this event please contact Vince Coveney, vince.coveney@uwe.ac.uk.
