Superior wins Queen's Award for Enterprise from UK
Dorset, UK - Manufacturing company Superior Group Limited is celebrating after being chosen by the UK Prime Minister to receive the Queen's Award for Enterprise.
In recognition of its export record, Superior was named winner in the International Trade category. The company now joins previous winners of the award as one of Britain's most successful companies.
Founded in 1972, Superior makes and supplies rubber 'O' rings, seals and special mouldings used in the manufacture of pumps, valves and piping systems.
In the last five years the company states that export turnover has exceeded £27 million. Overseas sales, since 2002, have increased by 196 percent. The company now sells to 26 different countries including Germany, France, Italy, Scandinavia, the United States and China.
Export Sales Manager, Pascal Barat commented, “The fit between Superior and our potential customers is absolutely essential. We're looking for long term partnerships with our customers and this is borne out by the existing customer relationships we have had for a number of years.†Managing Director, Tim Brown said, “It's a fantastic moment for everyone at Superior as it was a real team effort. It recognises all our hard work over many years. For me, it's the culmination of a dream. We've always looked up to the companies that were Queen's Award Winners and aspired to be amongst them.â€
