ERJ staff report (RD)
Greenback, Tennessee - BPS (Bill Popplewell Services) Engineering LLC is to now offer engineering support to the tyre manufacturing industry following the recent announcement that the company is commencing manufacturing and commercial operations.
BPS, who traditionally develop and produce high precision engineered polyurethane products, has recently identified “unique opportunities†in the tyre manufacturing industry and is planning to support tyre companies by providing engineering services for re-furbishment and re-builds of specialised tyre manufacturing equipment, the company said.
The initial focus will be on the importation of specialised tyre curing bladders and tyre moulds to meet the needs of selected customers in the US, the company added.
“We are very excited at the opportunities for supporting key customers in the USA. We have been very encouraged by the interest shown by certain customers and we fully intend to provide a competitive service focused on the special needs of these customers where quality and delivery time are key elements,†said president Bill Popplewell.
He also announced that Mark Byerely and Ian Smith, both former executives of Wyko Engineering USA are joining the team to assist in the company's tyre related business ventures.
