Avon wins second order for M50 mask from US military

London -- Avon Rubber said it has received a second order from the US Government for a further 61 000 M50 JSGPM mask series systems over the next year.

The new order comes after an initial order from the US Government for 100 000 M50 mask systems in respect of the second year of its 10 year sole source contract. The combined value of these awards is $34.4m which is in line with management expectations.

Avon said, "Delivery against the first year production requirement is progressing well and fielding by the US Department of Defense has commenced to a number of Air Force and Marine Corps around the world."
