Rolf Koerfer elected as chairman of Conti supervisory board

Hanover, Germany - The Supervisory Board of Continental AG, Hanover, unanimously elected the lawyer Rolf Koerfer as its new chairman at an extraordinary meeting on Friday in Hanover. The 51-year-old thus succeeds Dr. Hubertus von Grünberg, who resigned on March 6, the company said.
Koerfer was previously a partner at the firms Oppenhoff & Rädler and Shearman & Sterling LLP. He specializes in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and restructurings in various in¬dustrial sectors, including automotive, insurance, and reinsurance companies as well as financial institutes, Continental added.
