Pallmann develops new NR granulator
ERJ staff report (RD)
Zweibrücken, Germany - Pallmann, a family-owned manufacturer of size reduction machinery, has developed a new natural and butyl rubber granulator which eliminates the need for pre-cutting rubber before grinding, the company claims.
The Ultra-Granulator PS-C has an integrated guillotine, which rhythmically cuts the bales into slices, the company said 7 May. The cut slices fall into the grinding chamber where an open guillotine rotor grinds the materials without the need for increased temperatures.
The machine housing is split horizontally and can be opened either mechanically, manually or hydraulically, depending on machine size, Pallmann said.
