Simrit to move to four-day workweek

PLlymouth, Michigan -- Simrit, the industrial sealing division of Freudenberg-NOK G.P., plans to temporarily operate on a four-day workweek the next couple of months, the company said.
In a letter to customers dated May 7, David Monaco, Simrit president-Americas, said effective immediately, the company's customer service and most of its manufacturing facilities will be closed on Fridays. The firm expects the schedule to continue during the months of May and June, he said.
In addition, the operation will be closed during the week of Memorial Day.
Even with the reduced work hours, Simrit “stands ready†to serve its customers' sealing needs, Monaco said.
“We remain dedicated to supplying the highest quality products and will work with each of you to ensure you have the products you need, when you need them,†he said in the letter. “We value your business and appreciate your cooperation. If you have any questions, please contact your customer service representative or local sales person so we can address your concerns.â€
