GiTi adds technicians in Europe

Nuneaton, UK -- GiTi Tire has added some engineers in the UK and leased some space at MIRA Ltd Proving Ground, Nuneaton, Warwickshire in the UK and calls it the European technical centre. The company has employed Eddie Young as Director of R&D Europe and recruited two further engineers who will be based at MIRA.
The company will use the facility to test tyres developed in China. Also, the UK-based staff will have responsibility for, "Original Equipment engineering liaison with vehicle manufacturers on a global basis."
GiTi said it is searching for a site in China to build a new  proving ground.
The company did not mention any investment figures.
