Bridgestone awarded Volvo 'Quality Excellence' award

Poznan, Poland – Hiroyuki Osaki received the Volvo Cars Quality Excellence (VQE) Award on behalf of Bridgestone’s Poznan manufacturing plant. An official awards ceremony was held at Volvo Cars in Sweden on 18 December.
The award recognises the plant and its employees’ achievement in obtaining an A-rating in 12 domains; including Manufacturing Site Assessment, Trust and Customer Endorsements
Hiroyuki Osaki, Managing Director at the Poznan plant, said: “It is a great honour to receive this award on behalf of Bridgestone Poznan. The VQE Award is further recognition of our commitment to delivering the highest possible quality, safety and performance for all our customers and, ultimately, all road users. It is a wonderful achievement and I thank and congratulate all of our employees for making it possible.”
The site is the first tire manufacturing plant to receive the Volvo VQE Award.
Bridgestone Europe (BSEU), with European headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, is a key regional subsidiary of Tokyo-based Bridgestone Corporation, the world’s largest manufacturer of tires and other rubber products. Bridgestone Europe operates an R&D centre, eight plants and offices in more than 30 European countries, with over 13,000 employees.
