UK Tyre safety campaign generates record interest
ERJ staff report (RD)
London - UK-based TyreSafe, a not for profit non commercial organisation set up 16 years ago with the responsibility of raising the awareness of the importance of the dangers of defective and worn tyres, has received record interest in its latest safety campaign, the organisation said 19 May.
The TyreSafe Bike Tyre Safety Month generated a record 26 700 visits to the TyreSafe website in April, the statement said.
“I'm delighted that a growing number of people are actively choosing to inform themselves about tyre safety,†said TyreSafe chairman Stuart Jackson. “We see this as a result of our constant focus on providing accurate and relevant advice to motorists and bikers, as we strive to become the UK's first point of reference for tyre safety issues,†he added.
The organisation will launch its Car Tyre Safety Month Campaign in October.
