Clermon-Ferrand, France -- 120 years ago today (28 May 1889) two brothers created a company called Michelin & Cie. The company ws located on the site of a former convent at Carmes-Déchaussés, now known as Carmes.
Two years later, the brothers began making the de-mountable bicycle tyre.
Michelin is marking the occasion with a special exhibition at its new venue, l'Aventure Michelin in Clermont
