Lanxess increases EPDM prices
ERJ staff report (RD)
Leverkusen, Germany - Lanxess AG's Technical Rubber Products (TRP) business is increasing price for ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM) globally as of 1 Aug 2009, the company said 24 July.
Depending on regions and rubber grades, the price increase per metric ton will be up Euro 150/ USD 250, the statement said, adding that the increases are “unavoidable because the costs for raw materials have risen significantly since the beginning of the year.â€
EPDM is a rubber material used in a range of applications including hoses, gaskets, sealings, floor coverings and cable sheathings.
