Michelin highlights European mobility week

Parisd -- For the European week of sustainable mobility taking place in Paris from 12th to 19th September 2009, Michelin is showcasing its “Michelin Man air pumps,” a world-exclusive driving simulator, and is reminding us of the performance levels of its Energy Saver tyres for passenger vehicles and Michelin X Energy Saver green tyres for trucks.

Michelin said its commitment to road safety, in France as elsewhere in the world, is based on two main lines: raising driver awareness to the need for correct tire pressures (6% of road accidents involving deaths in Europe are attributed to worn or under-inflated tyres) and educating young people in road safety (road accidents are the major cause of deaths of 10-24 year-olds throughout the world).
