Kumho hikes US prices 12 percent, blames tariffs
ERJ staff report (TB)
Rancho Cucamonga, California - Kumho Tire USA Inc. will raise prices up to 12 percent on select products due to what it called the market pressures created by the recent tariffs on Chinese-made tyres.
The effective dates for Kumho's increase will be 26 Sept for limited patterns and Oct. 1 for the remainder of the products.
“It is Kumho's goal to minimise the impact of this imposed tariff on our customers and ultimately the consumer,†said J.B. Kim, president and ceo of Kumho Tire USA. “We will make every effort to maintain a consistent supply of Kumho products that deliver unparalleled value and performance to the important US market.â€
