Cancarb wins REACH registration for thermal black
ERJ staff report (DS)
Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada -- Cancarb Limited said all its Thermax and Carbocolor thermal carbon black products have been successfully registered under Europe's REACH scheme by its “Only Representative†Global Energy Investments S.a.r.L.
REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of CHemicals) requires rubber product makers and their suppliers to register substances and applications with the European Chemicals Agency by November 30, 2010.
Cancarb said, "the successful registration was confirmed by ECHA on November 13, 2009 and comes well before the deadline. This milestone, after more than 2 years of sustained work, relieves the Downstream Users of Thermax® and Carbocolor thermal carbon black products of their REACH obligations. Further, it guarantees the uninterrupted supply of these products to the European Union."
