Nokian gives details of Russian strategy
ERJ staff report (DS)
Helsinki, Finland -- Nokian Tyres has published a presentation on its strategy in Russia. It was given to analysts by Anne Leskelä, Vice President, CFO, IR at Nokian Tyres plc.
She outlined corporate strategy, clarifying Nokian's replacement-only strategy as well as its narrowly-defined segment expertise and the focus on winter conditions.
In a detailed presentation, she said Nokian expects to further expand its tyre plant in Vsevolozhsk, Russia. That plant has a potential to make up to 20 million tyres per year, though the current plan is aiming for 10 million units.
