Maxxis reports increased sales in 2009

Taiwan -- Taiwan-based tyre maker, Maxxis International said sales in the 12 months to 31 December 2009 amounted to US$2700 million, up by almost 10 percent from te $2500 recorded a year earlier.
Maxxis distributes to over 170 countries and has operations in Asia, Europe, North America and the Middle East. The company employs more than 22,000 people, including engineers in five research facilities around the world to produce Maxxis tyres. The company continually looks to improve tyre performance and has now invested in a new, state-of-the-art private proving ground in China. This track will allow Maxxis to expand its already strong research and development capability.
Last year produced a positive result for Maxxis as it moves closer to its long-term vision: to become a highly respected, world-class tyre company, with a strong global identity and a loyal customer base. In 2010, Maxxis is increasing its profile by becoming more prominent within the world of sport, associating itself with high performance races, teams, events and individuals around the world.
