China tyre production ahead in May

Beijing -- The Chinese Statistical Office says China's tyre production was up by 31 percent in the first five months of 2010, to 312.3 million units. In May 2010 the country made 74.16 million units, up by 25 percent on May 2009 and up by 1.6 percent on the April figure.
In terms of synthetic rubber, reports China Knowledge, China produced 1.26 millino tonnes of SR in the first five months of 2010, up by 21 percent.In the month of May China made 275 ktonnes of SR, up by 34 percent on the same month of 2009.
