ERJ staff report (DS)
Shanghai, China -- Trelleborg Automotive will establish a new R&D centre in Shanghai. The facility is due to open at the end of the year and will offer noise and vibration damping brake solutions for light vehicles.
The state-of-the-art R&D centre is set to include equipment for controlled testing of brake and engine noise. The new R&D centre will also include one laser scanner which will enable the measurement of vibration levels of various engine components.
Trelleborg has five wholly owned production units in China, one of those produces and develops anti-vibration components for light vehicles. The Trelleborg Group today has approximately 1,100 employees in China.
