Toyoda Gosei suffers strike in China - report

Tianjin, China -- Japanese automotive seals maker Toyoda Gosei has suffered a series of strikes at its Chinese plants, according to Reuters.
Reuters quoted a spokesman for Toyoda Gosei saying that it halted production at a plant in Tianjin, China on Thursday afternoon local time. The stoppage was due to strike action by workers. The affected factory, employs around 1800 making interior and exterior parts, including instrument panels, said Reuters. Reuters said the companyhad also faced a stoppage over conditions at the Tianjin Star Light Rubber and Plastic Co plant, which makes automotive seals.
Reuters said Toyoda Gosei claimed it had sufficient stocks of products to cope with a short stoppage.
