Bridgestone announces 2010 Eco-Rally
ERJ staff report (RD)
Tokyo -- The fourth annual Bridgestone Eco-Rally, taking place in the UK on 7 July 2010, will showcase the latest in low and zero-emission vehicle technology in a convoy from Brighton's seafront to London's Hyde Park, Bridgestone announced 18 June.
Automotive manufacturers supporting the event include Lotus, Tesla, TH!NK, MINI and Honda, whilst F1 fans will have the chance to see Mercedes GP team principal Ross Brawn, as well as Patrick Head, co-founder of Williams F1 and the team's driver, Nico Hulkenberg.
Sustainable transport is one of the most pertinent issues we face,†said Zac Goldsmith MP, part of the team that launched the Eco-Rally in 2007. “We can become world leaders in this field, and if we really take advantage of the opportunities, we will benefit economically, environmentally and socially.â€
