Nokian to cut jobs at Nokia plant

Nokia, Finland -- Statutory negotiations with the workforce at Nokia's tyre factory in Finland ended on Monday. The company said, "The results of the negotiations were to cut personnel by a total of 19 people and lay off 37 people for a limited period."
Nokian said, "The personnel cuts and lay-offs concern all personnel groups. With these measures Nokian Tyres adjusts the Nokia plant's production and support function resources to the current stabilised shift system."
