Tokyo -- Bridgestone Corp has revealed its financial projections for the 12 months to December 2010. The company said in May that it felt unable to give reliable projections for the full year, but would do so at a later date.
Bridgestone now expects net sales for the full 12 months to be yen 2900 billion (euro 26.3 billion), compared with sales for 2009 of yen 2600 billion.
Operating income should reach yen 130 billion, almost double the yen 75.7 billion reported in 2009, while net income should saoar to yen 77 billion, from yen 1 billion in 2009.
Bridgestone said it expects sales in both its tyre unit and non-tyre divisions to increase in 2010.
