Rubber prices hit new record in India

New Delhi, India -- Prices of natural rubber on Mumbai's NMCE (National Multi-Commodity Exchange) hit Rs 173.5 ($3.74) per kilo on the spot market, a new all-time high. Analysts suggested further rises are likely in the next few days, as sellers hoard stocks and demand increases.

In Tokyo, the TOCOM market was trading around yen 340 ($3.79) per kilo on the spot market, but the benchmark six-month contract was trading closer to yen 280 ($3.12)

In Singapore, the SICOM market showed RSS3 prices around $3.69 per kilo on the spot market and $3.10 for longer-dated contracts.
