Lanxess to run a series of rubber days internationally
ERJ staff report (DS)
Leverkusen, Germany -- Following the introduction of its original rubber day last September, Lanxess AG has announced a series of rubber days in developing parts of the world. Last March, Lanxess was criticised for failing to recognise the role of natural rubber at its so-called World Rubber Day event. It remains to be seen whether the company will redress that balance at its forthcoming rubber days in China, Brazil and India.
Lanxess said it will hold a rubber conference in Macau, China, on June 28 and 29, 2010. Similar conferences will then be held in Brazil and India in September and December. Lanxess is inviting representatives of the business, political, media and science communities to attend the Rubber Days.
"We plan to establish this series of events as a permanent fixture in the global rubber industry. The attendees we meet here are key multipliers, through whom LANXESS can significantly increase its sales opportunities in growth markets," said Axel Heitmann, Chairman of the Board of Management of Lanxess AG.
