Michelin forecasts future of tyres in Berlin

Berlin -- Last Thursday and Friday, Michelin held an event at the ADAC Test Center, in Linthe, Berlin titled Michelin: Berlin 2010, which aimed to trace the future of the tyre industry
The event focussed on the new European tyre label. The company said 30 percent of tyres currently on the market would not meet one or more criteria on the label due to be introduced in 2012, and would thuis be banned from sale in the EU. The rules will be tightened in 2016 and only 30 percent of tyres on sale today would meet the more rigorous 2016 requirements, said the comapny.
