Akron - To mark the US national independence day on 4 July, Goodyear will supply modified tyres to its NASCAR race series. The new design features a red, white and blue colour scheme reading “Support Our Troops†on the tyres' sidewalls.
The modified tyres will be used on all Goodyear Racing Eagle tyres for the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series races over the July 4th holiday weekend.
Once the races are over, Goodyueear intends to get leading drivers to sign the tyres and then auction them off, together with certificates of authenticity. The money raised will be given to charity.
