ERJ staff report (R&PN)
Greenville, South Carolina -- Michelin North America Inc. has signed two 10-year contracts to supply aircraft tyres for Air France and KLM.
In all, Michelin-brand tyres will be fitted on around 425 aircraft operated both by the Air France-KLM Group and by other airlines for which the two airlines provide maintenance services, the tyre maker announced. The aircraft models include 37 Boeing B777-300 ERs, 66 Boeing B737-NGs, 145 Airbus A320s and three Airbus A380s.
These contracts are invoiced on a per-landing basis, Michelin said. The company's end-to-end solution, based on the quality of its products and of its innovative services, played a decisive role in the signing of the long-term agreements, the Greenville-based tyre manufacturer said.
