CGS to build Agri tyre plant in USA - report

Charles City, Iowa -- CGS Tires is planning to build an agricultural tyre factory in Iowa, according to a local press report.
The report, in the Iowa-based Globe Gazette, said the plant would be on stream in June 2011 to serve OE customers including Caterpillar, John Deere and new Holland.
According to the paper, total investment will be around $41 million over a number of phases. The initial phase will be tyre manufacture and will create around 170 new jobs. The second phase will add a warehouse and logistics centre, while the third phase will add a mixing room.
