Yokohama US launches online fuel savings calculator

Fullerton, California -- Yokohama Tire Corp. has launched an interactive online tool to its website that will enable US-based commercial fleet owners to learn how they can improve their bottom line in terms of gas savings, a 22 July company statement said.

The Yokohama Fuel Savings Calculator performs a side-by-side comparison of Yokohama's tyres against competitors which are displayed as annual savings per truck, annual savings per fleet and annual gallons of fuel saved, the company said.

“The Fuel Savings Calculator is specifically designed for [US] fleet owners to see how much they can improve their bottom line by using our truck tyres,” said John Cooney, Yokohama director of sales, Commercial Division.

Yokohama said the calculator also shows the total reduction of carbon footprint with the use of Yokohama tyres.
