Singapore -- Two more organisations, Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association and Ram Charan Co, have joined the IRSG Panel of Associates
The Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association (ATMA) was set up in 1975, as the representative body of the automotive tyre industry in India. Currently, ATMA has 9 large tyre companies based in India as members; accounting for 85% of tyre production in India. The Association functions through various committees, consisting of different disciplines, such as, Marketing, Export, Purchase (Raw Material), Taxation, Technical and others under the guidance of the Managing Committee. The day to day functioning of ATMA is managed by the Secretariat headed by the Director General.
Ram Charan commenced business in Kerala during 1965 to procure and supply Carbon Black. Since then with the growth of economy, Ram Charan has expanded from supply chain services of raw materials (rubber, plastic, coatings, inks, electrical and electronics printing, construction and adhesive) to technical support for their products to clients. The company's sales offices and warehouses are located in Southern, Eastern and Western India and its development laboratories and technical assistance centres are based in Chennai.
