Cooper to re-state earnings data
ERJ staff report (DS)
Findlay, Ohio -- Cooper Tires is to re-state its earnings figures for the three months ended 31 March 2010 and for the 12 months to 31 December 2009.
In a filing to the SEC, Cooper said the relevant data as published in previous SEC filings, "will be restated and such financial statements should no longer be relied upon." The company said the move comes as a result of a review of Noncontrolling shareholders' interests in consolidated subsidiaries which include Cooper Chengshan, Cooper Kenda, and Cooper de Mexico.
Cooper said, "The restatement will not affect any items in the Company's consolidated statement of operations, other than the basic and diluted earnings per share. The restatement will have no impact on the Company's consolidated statements of cash flows as of any date or for any period. "
