Dettingen/Erms, Germany -- ElringKlinger AG has received the approval of the German antitrust authorities to buy the Static Metal Gaskets division of Freudenberg & Co. KG, Weinheim. The Static Metal Gaskets division of the Freudenberg Group encompasses the cylinder-head and exhaust system gaskets business. The planned takeover had been announced on July 12, 2010.
As a result, ElringKlinger anticipates that the acquisition can come into legal effect on October 1, 2010.
