Trelleborg relocates US headquarters
ERJ staff report (TB)
Hartville, Ohio -- Trelleborg Wheel Systems Americas Inc. is relocating its Hartville-based national headquarters and distribution centre to two separate locations in Northeast Ohio.
In a move set to be complete early next year, the company will relocate operations to new, purpose-built offices in the Akron suburb of Fairlawn, and move its distribution center to a separate facility in Akron. Trelleborg said the move gives it space for further expansion, greater warehouse capacity and provides easier highway access, improving logistics.
Trelleborg added that the close proximity of the new offices and warehouse to its Hartville location will allow employees to remain with the company.
“This was a difficult decision after 80 years in our Hartville location,†said Ydo Doornbos, managing director of Trelleborg. “Our company is continuing to grow and we need a location that is convenient to our valued customers and employees.â€
