Rival retread tyre group touted in US

Pacific Grove, California - Following dismissal from his post as managing director of the Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) on 5 Oct, Harvey Brodsky, is starting a competing organisation called the Retread Tire Association.

Brodsky, a longtime retreading proponent, says the new organisation is being set up as a non-profit entity “dedicated to promoting and expanding retreading and proper tyre repairing throughout the world, with no closed doors and no closed meetings,” he said in a 22 Oct. letter to the tyre industry trade press and select retreaders.
