Conti extends Chinese printing blanket service
ERJ staff report (DS)
Shanghai, China -- ContiTech Elastomer Coatings has expanded its service center in Shanghai and has moved to a new location in the Chuansha Industrial Park. The new facility is twice as large as the previous one.
“Our business with the Chinese printing industry has grown immensely in recent years, bringing our previous service center to its performance limits,†said Heiko Eymer, head of the ContiTech Elastomer Coatings business unit. “With the new location, we want to continue growing.â€
“The product range and service have improved greatly,†says Dr. Thomas Perkovic, head of the printing blanket segment at ContiTech. “Above all, the new location will shorten delivery times.â€
In the Shanghai Service Center, printing blankets of the Conti-Air brand are cut to size and prepared for use in printing machines. ContiTech founded its Shanghai branch in 2001 to strengthen its position in China and has since profited from the country's economic development.
