Yokohama's US tyre prices going up
ERJ staff report (R&PN)
Fullerton, California -- Yokohama Tire Corp. will hike prices on its US commercial truck and OTR tyres Jan. 1 because of continued increases in the cost of raw materials and energy-related expenses, the company said.
Yokohama will raise commercial tyre prices by up to 6 percent and OTR (bias and radial) by up to 5 percent. There also will be in-line adjustments to be announced at a later date, the company said.
Yokohama already has raised prices by up to 8 percent twice this year on its passenger and light truck tyre lines, one on June 1 and one effective Dec. 1.
