Pirelli to supply tyres to British Superbike teams

Burton, UK -- Pirelli will once again be the tyre of choice for the British Superbike (BSB) and Supersport Championships after winning a competitive five-year supply tender for this motorsport series (subject to contract).

Having been the control tyre supplier for the last three years, The Italian tyre brand will again be supplied to all teams for the 2011-5 race seasons, reflecting their impressive support for the series in terms of performance, consistency, logistics and marketing.

Stuart Higgs, British Superbike Series Director, added, “There was much interest in the tyre contract for the coming seasons which is testament to the strength of the series. After much deliberation we are pleased to announce the continuation of our agreement with Pirelli as control tyre suppliers. Pirelli have given great importance to our series and have impressed us with their logistics operation for the teams. We look forward to another five years with Pirelli as a valued partner to BSB.”
