Albany, New York -- Momentive Performance Materials said its NXT silane can help tyre manufacturers by improving the coupling of silica into tyre tread. The tread compound then typically mills into a smooth material that is easier to process, since the silica disperses and couples easily.
The company has released a video showing how the material affects rubber performance.
Momentive also released a video showing its new tyre applications lab.
