India releases NR statistics for November

New Delhi -- The Indian Rubber Board published on 20 December the November edition of its Rubber Statistical News publication.
The latest issue says, "Production of Natural Rubber (NR) in the country during September 2010 increased to 77,500 tonnes compared to
74,300 tonnes during September 2009."
The publication adds, "Production of Synthetic Rubber (SR)
during September'10 increased to
9,245 tonnes from 8,942 tonnes during
August'10. The cumulative production
of SR during April'10 to September'10
was 53,331 tonnes as against 52,988
tonnes during the same period of the
previous year. Consumption of SR
slightly increased to 34,480 tonnes
during September'10 as against
34,220 tonnes during August'10. The
total consumption of SR during the first
half of the current financial year was
201,625 tonnes compared to 158,515
tonnes during the corresponding
period of the previous year, recording
a growth of 27.2 percent."
